Stratford-upon-Avon Transport Museum is the dream that began when Jake Sumner was fourteen years old. This story started when he caught the No3 Johnson's school bus to Shipston-on-Stour High School on week days. From there, his interest in buses, coaches and minibuses increased and his dad, Dave Sumner has come on board to help him achieve his goal. Now, he is the proud owner of several buses, coaches, minibuses and other forms of transport and he is determined to restore and preserve them so he can show them off at bus rallies and events. His enthusiasm continues to grow and with his dad's help he aims to create a transport museum for the enjoyment of all.
At the moment the museum is in its early stages and not, at present, open to the general public; however the website is updated regularly and all vehicles are able to be viewed on this site. All donations and support will be greatly appreciated and will enable Jake and his dad to continue to preserve and maintain the vehicles.
His next target is to find a suitable warehouse so most of the vehicles can be undercover and, most importantly, this will allow the general public access to enjoy transport from a bygone era.
